ONLYOFFICE Spreadsheet Editor Starter Files and Practice Downloads
Choose a local practice download
These small CSV files contain synthetic data only. They are not native XLSX or XLTX templates, and contain no formulas, status dropdowns, conditional formatting or collaboration permissions.
| Download | Size | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Four-task list (CSV) | 119 bytes | Inspect labels, try sorting/filtering, or build your own task workbook |
| Original IDs and date text (CSV) | 97 bytes | Preserve the authoritative character strings for comparison |
| Prefixed transport copy (CSV) | 115 bytes | Follow the controlled text-preservation lesson without converting the original |
The free route here is ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors, not an assumed free hosted collaboration subscription. The official download page lists Desktop Editors 10.0.0 for Windows, macOS and Linux, dated October 13, 2026; checked October 21, 2026. See versions and availability for platform details. This catalogue did not install or execute that release.
Task-list contents and checks
Import the task-list file into an empty sheet with its header at A1. Expect A1:C5:
| Task | Owner | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Check labels | Alex | New |
| Review figures | Sam | In progress |
| Confirm dates | Alex | Blocked |
| File report | Sam | Done |
All twelve data cells contain text. Alex owns two tasks and Sam owns two. Each status appears once. =COUNTA(A2:A5) should return 4, and =COUNT(A2:C5) should return 0 because this fixture has no numeric values. Add checks outside the data rectangle.
If you sort, include the complete A1:C5 range and keep the header out of the records. “Confirm dates” must remain associated with Alex and Blocked; sorting the Owner column alone would break the records. A two-task Alex subset should contain Check labels and Confirm dates.
For an advanced follow-on, personal sheet views and shared filters uses this same file. That lesson’s shared-document conditions are separate from opening the CSV locally; the downloadable task list does not create a shared workbook or enable collaboration by itself.
Import controls are not type guarantees
The official TXT/CSV import guide describes Data → Get data → From Local TXT/CSV, encoding, delimiter, preview and destination. For these files choose UTF-8, Comma and a blank destination at A1. Inspect the preview before importing.
The task-list text is uncomplicated. The ID/date file deliberately is not: its original IDs are 00123, 12345678901234567 and 00009, and its date strings are 03/04/2026, 2026-04-03 and 04/03/2026. Do not interpret those dates or coerce the IDs into numbers just because a cell looks numeric.
For the controlled preservation exercise, keep the original untouched and import the transport copy. It adds ID: to the first column and DT: to the second. Follow preserve CSV IDs and date text for extraction formulas, character-by-character comparisons and save/reopen checks. After correct extraction, ID lengths are 5, 17 and 5; all three date strings have length 10. Quantities are numeric 2, 5 and 1, with COUNT 3 and SUM 8. Prefixes alone do not establish successful import; verify the complete strings.
Save a workbook without losing your reference
Keep each original CSV unchanged. Save the working file separately in XLSX after adding formulas, formatting or other workbook features, then reopen and repeat the relevant checks. CSV is not a durable container for those features, even if its name includes “template.”
The linked identifier lesson documents its own narrowly scoped earlier native test. That evidence is not a new test of this catalogue, the task list, every desktop platform, hosted editors or CSV export. No new screenshots were taken here.
File integrity and verification
Original download bytes were inspected on October 21, 2026. These synthetic UTF-8, comma-separated files contain no formulas, macros or external links. A SHA-256 match identifies unchanged bytes, not a successful application import.

Expected results were calculated independently from the files. No new application import, save/reopen test or screenshot was produced for this catalogue. Check results in your own environment before adapting the examples to important data.
