Apache OpenOffice Calc Calculation Error References
Choose a focused diagnosis for zero denominators, wrong value types, broken references and unresolved names.
These references cover four calculation-error families, not every error in Calc. Start with the actual formula and its inputs, preserve the original workbook, and use a copy for repairs.
- Division by zero, #DIV/0! / 532: identify a zero denominator or insufficient statistical inputs.
- Value/type mismatch, #VALUE / 519: distinguish numeric inputs from text and inspect import assumptions.
- Broken reference, #REF! / 524: recover the intended dependency after a missing row, column or sheet.
- Unrecognized name, #NAME? / 525: distinguish undefined names, spelling problems and unavailable identifiers.
Each guide supplies a small reversible example and a second-input check. The error mappings are source-checked against Apache OpenOffice 4.1 Calc Guide, Appendix C, published August 25, 2025; these pages do not claim new native testing or comprehensive version coverage. An error-free formula can still use the wrong input, so a plausible number alone is not a successful repair.
