Zoho Sheet Starter Files and Practice Downloads

Download the order-practice ledger

Download the eight-order CSV (265 bytes). This is the same reusable data used by the site’s Zoho function lessons, not a second branded copy. It contains six columns and eight synthetic orders. It is not a ready-made invoicing system, merge template or native spreadsheet with formulas and formatting.

Amounts have no specified currency or tax treatment. The zero Units value is intentional; the fixture is for spreadsheet practice, not business or accounting validation.

Import into an isolated web spreadsheet

Scope: Zoho Sheet’s rolling web service, official documentation checked October 21, 2026. Zoho offers free Sheet access with a Zoho account. This catalogue does not assume desktop or mobile menu parity, require a paid bundle or claim a signed-in test.

Zoho’s import guide documents File → Import, CSV separator settings and a choice of destinations. Select the downloaded CSV, check comma as its delimiter and import into a new spreadsheet, rather than replacing a workbook you need. The result should occupy A1:F9, including the header. Amount and Units must be numeric; the other four columns hold labels.

Check that O-104 has Amount 90 and Units 0. A missing last row, an extra blank record or shifted columns invalidates the checks below. Keep the original download unchanged while diagnosing the import.

Check the complete ledger before filtering

Add these formulas outside A1:F9:

COUNT includes the zero Units cell. If either count is low, investigate text conversion or a missing record before accepting a sum.

The five Paid orders are O-101, O-103, O-104, O-105 and O-107; their amounts total 695. The three Pending orders total 215, so the two groups reconcile to 910. Region totals are East 390, West 350 and North 170. These are useful cross-checks for a filtered view, conditional sum or pivot exercise; they are not prebuilt in the download.

Change D2 from 120 to 121 as a simple recalculation test. The complete total should become 911, Paid 696 and East 391. Restore 120 when done. Follow the SUM guide for basic totals, SUMIF for criteria and FILTER for a returned subset. Keep the full source range separate from any results.

Turn practice data into a safe working copy

Keep a clean imported spreadsheet and make a separate working copy before replacing the sample rows. Do not export back over the only original. CSV cannot retain spreadsheet formulas, formatting, charts or multiple sheets; any workbook features you add need a suitable spreadsheet copy and a reopen check.

For a different import risk, use preserve leading zeros and long IDs rather than treating this ledger’s simple O-prefixed labels as proof that arbitrary numeric identifiers survive. See versions and availability before moving the exercise to a desktop app.

File integrity and verification

Original download bytes were inspected on October 21, 2026. These synthetic UTF-8, comma-separated files contain no formulas, macros or external links. A SHA-256 match identifies unchanged bytes, not a successful application import.

Expected results were calculated independently from the files. No new application import, save/reopen test or screenshot was produced for this catalogue. Check results in your own environment before adapting the examples to important data.
