Zoho Sheet Calculation Error Reference
Choose a focused repair for invalid values, broken references or unrecognized names.
Use the displayed error to choose an investigation, then inspect the earliest failing input rather than masking the final result. Zoho’s ERRORTYPE reference documents its error categories. The spellings below follow Zoho’s help.
-
#VALUE!: unsuitable input type. Preserve source text while checking whether a field should actually be numeric.
-
#REF!: invalid cell dependency. Identify the missing input and test a repaired reference with changing values.
-
#NAME!: unrecognized formula token. Separate function spelling, defined names and literal text.
-
#SPILL!: blocked array output. Preserve nearby content before testing the result rectangle and its next expansion.
For stale or circular calculations, use the existing recalculation and circular-result tutorial rather than treating every unexpected result as one of these selected errors.
Keep an untouched copy before structural experiments. Error suppression belongs after diagnosis and an explicit decision about what missing data means. This selection is not a complete list of Zoho errors. Scope is the rolling web-service documentation checked October 21, 2026; mobile and offline desktop parity is not established. The guides contain independently checked examples, not native execution or screenshot evidence.
